Education in Africa is largely characterized by disparity; with a combination of internationally-recognized private education institutions, and starkly under-resourced public institutions characterizing the education landscape.
Our work in the field of education is focused around early childhood development and primary education, including sports. Early childhood development is the most critical phase in the education journey, yet it is largely unregulated. Particularly in rural areas, children are not receiving a strong enough base to succeed in primary school. Basic skills such as numeracy and English literacy are lacking, which affects children’s ability to succeed in school and beyond.
By designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating strong early childhood and primary school development interventions, we seek to improve teachers’ ability to deliver effective programs, and children’s ability to learn, for the best possible start in life.
